Like Mike, Meek and Goddard were also big Buddy Holly fans, Mike having bought The ‘Chirping’ Crickets LP and the 78 rpm single of ‘That’ll Be the Day’.
Mike recorded an album, About Time Too!, in Nashville with the Crickets. The record – produced by Chas Hodges – was made at Jerry Allison’s Tennessee studio in 2004 and included Buddy’s ‘I’m Gonna Set My Foot Down’ and ‘Fool’s Paradise’. The ever-youthful Mike Berry is still associated with the Buddy Holly legacy to this day.
Mike’s guitar, presented by the Foundation and Maria Elena, is ‘Tell Me How’, a song from The ‘Chirping’ Crickets.
