Keith Richards

Keith Richards is the legendary guitarist and co-founder of the Rolling Stones. A chance meeting with Mick Jagger on a train platform, when they bonded over the mail-order albums by Chuck Berry and Muddy Waters that Jagger was carrying, led to what would eventually become the Rolling Stones. Keith’s enduring presence – both on and off stage – in the music world has left an indelible mark on rock and roll.

Buddy Holly’s influence on Keith Richards is profound, and is illustrated within the group’s early works, as well as their popular cover of ‘Not Fade Away’ – a cornerstone in the Stones’ discography. The cover not only paid homage to Buddy, but helped introduce his music to a new audience. Since then, Keith has gone on the record to explain why Buddy Holly – and those great melodies – meant so much to him.
