Chris Rees

Chris Rees is an engineer by trade and a proud father and grandfather who lives in the UK.

He discovered the music of Buddy Holly and the Crickets during the heady glam rock period of the 1970s and became a fast fan of the singer with a voice and talent that seemed totally at odds with what was considered to be the norm in the 1950s rock and roll era. Chris sought out Buddy’s music wherever he could and swallowed up every book and magazine article he could find about his hero.

Finally Chris was able to visit Buddy’s home town of Lubbock and have a few days getting to know his family. Chris has pursued his love of photography and Buddy for many years and worked on a photo catalogue listing all of the known pictures of Buddy throughout his life with the late Bill Griggs.
